This Tuesday, Registered Dietitian Emilee Wyatt shares her favorite hemp seed recipes for getting more protein in your diet! 🥣 👩‍🍳

Hemp hearts, also known as hemp seeds, are highly nutritious and offer a range of health benefits:

🌰 Rich in Healthy Fats: Hemp hearts are high in essential fatty acids, particularly omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

💪 Complete Protein Source: Hemp hearts are a complete protein, meaning they contain all nine essential amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own.

🌾 High in Fiber: Hemp hearts are a good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber. 

🦴 Rich in Vitamins and Minerals: Hemp hearts contain various vitamins and minerals, including vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, and zinc, among others. 
 
🪖 Antioxidant Properties: Hemp hearts contain antioxidants such as vitamin E and phenolic compounds, which help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.

This smoothie has ➡️
✨ 22 grams protein and 12 grams of fiber ✨ 

 

🫐 1 cup mixed fruit = 4 g fiber

🌾 1 tbsp chia seeds -= 4 grams fiber and 2 grams protein

🥑 1/4 cup frozen avocado = 4 grams fiber

🥛 2 scoops collagen = 20 grams protein 

🥥 3/4 cup coconut water
